Introduction

       For phil’s project I choosed how to use a washing machine and how to select and change babby’ s 

Nappy. First of all I m going to make a backgroud and let people know what I am going to do in after 5 minutes, then i will show some of my research betwwen 2 subjects that I choosed it will be showing on my ppt. Finally I m going to write down some steps then how i understand to use a waching machine and how to select and change a babby’s nappy.

                       

                      How to use a washing machine

 

Here is few steps then I m going to show and how to use a washing machine.

 1        1 washing machine

          1 pile of dirty laundry   

          1 box of washing powder（If you need)

           1 bottle fabric softener

2.         Separate:

    

          At first you should Separate your coloured cloth from your whites and colourful cloth, then decide which pile you want to wash first.  If you did them all at the same time the colours would mix up and make your whites all dirty

3.Load up: 

          Take your chosen dirty cloth (either whites or colours) to the machine.  Don't overload it.   The clothes won't wash properly and the washing power will not be into every cloth

Do not make the machine overload. Maybe you could even cause the washing machine break and flood your home! 

4.        Cleaning products：

  Open the small draw usually located at the top left of the machine(it depends on your machine). Here you will find two or three small compartments.  The smaller compartment, usually with a filter, is where you pour the fabric 

softener. The larger compartment is for the washing powder.  Fill each with the advised amount. It's usually a cap full of each. If you have liquid capsules do not put them in here.  

Place them at the bottom of the washing machine drum underneath the clothes. 

5.        hoose your temperature:

  If you have delicates in your load make sure you set your washing machine on a low heat. Like 40 degrees should be ok. If you have cottons that are colour fast, have been washed plenty of times or stained badly, 

make sure you wash on a higher heat. Between 60 and 90 degrees. However, it's 

always best to be eco-friendly so unless your clothes are really dirty, wash them on a low heat.

6        Unload：

         When the machine has finished the door will remain locked for a few awhile.  Do not open it immediately, otherwise maybe it will be broken, lastly, just take off all the cloth from washing machine and dry it.

                       How to change a babby’s nappy

1      First put your baby on a towel or a changing mat. Do not open the dirty nappy, just open                                  the nappy 

first, (normally the connec

tion of nappy is on the 

left and right side)

2      Pull down the front half of the dirty nappy slowly, do not make your babby cry.

3      If there's poo in the nappy, use it first to clean your baby' s bottomm, if that is still not clean you can also use some tissus to wipe him.

4      Clean your baby's front with a damp baby wipe or cloth. If your baby's a girl, wipe from front to back (towards her bottom) to prevent bacterial infection.

5       Fold the dirty nappy( front of your babby), just leave the another half nappy under your baby' s bottom, and then just lift your babby' s legs up, prepared to clean it later.

6       And then get another wipe 

to clean your babby' s front.

(you can put a little worm water into your wipe,temerature should 

be aroud 30-40)

when you are cleanning 

your baby, you can leave

your babby' s legs on 

each sides or you can

leave  your baby' s legs

 Up

7       leave your babby for a few minutes and wait for his skin getting dry, or wipe with a clean dry cloth, if that is necessary you should use some rash cream or barrier cream to protect his skin

8         Remove  the all dirty nappy and throw into bin.
